Nguyen Hue walking street is nearly ready after over two weeks of hard work for the festive celebrations. This year the flower street is scheduled to open to the public from 7 p.m. on January 19, two days before the Lunar New Year's Eve, and close on January 26, the fifth day of the first lunar month.
The 600-metre flower street stretches from Ton Duc Thang street to Le Loi street, showcasing an optimistic spirit and belief in a bright future.
The organisers will make use of a number of natural materials, including rattan and bamboo, as well as recycled products to show their respect for a friendly environment.
The zodiac animal of the flower street is the cat in order to celebrate the Year of the Cat.
Amazingly a family of cats sits immediately at the entrance gate to the flower street.
A cat-shaped statue is located at Nguyen Hue Flower street in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City.
As of January 16, the construction and decoration process is almost complete.
A large number of potted flowers are transported to the venue as part of the decoration.
Environmentally friendly materials are used for the decorations.
