These days many streets in the capital have put up national flags, flower decorative items, and posters in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet) and the 94th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Posters are hung everywhere, with some reading “Happy New Year 2024 – the Year of the Dragon”, “Happy New Spring” or “Celebrating 94 Years of the Communist Party of Vietnam”.
Office buildings across Hanoi are covered in red as part of the celebrations.

The festive atmosphere is prevailing on every corner of the capital city.
The Lunar New Year holiday is the largest of its kind in Vietnam in a year. This year, State employees will have seven days off work.
Plenty of venues have got a complete makeover to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Entering the new year, local people expect that the economy will gather full steam from the COVID-19 pandemic and global headwinds, and people’s life will improve considerably.
