Beauty queens born in the Year of the Tiger

24-year-old Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien stands at 1.71 metres tall and measures 83-62-92. She has plenty of experience in beauty contests, including finishing fifth at Miss Vietnam 2018 and representing Vietnam at Miss International the same year.

Thuy Tien is crowned Miss Grand International 2021 during the global pageant held in Thailand late last year. This is the first Vietnamese beauty who has won the pageant after eight years of competing in the contest.

Born in the Year of the Tiger, she consistently pursues her goals despite facing many difficulties in life. “Honestly, when I started the contest, I didn't get much support from home fans. But as it is said that if pursue your dreams and work hard, you will succeed. So start your dream right now. With Miss Grand International, my dream has come true,” the Ho Chi Minh City native shares.

Her efforts to overcome various challenges and her great efforts to reap success have inspired plenty of young people.

2022 is set to be a very memorable year for Thuy Tien as she will travel with the organisers of Miss Grand International to many places around the world in order to carry out her one-year mission.

Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, 24, is the first runner-up of the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant. She stands at 1.77 metres tall and measures 82-61-90.

The girl from Ho Chi Minh City will represent Vietnam at the Miss International 2022 pageant which has been postponed for the COVID-19 pandemic and is scheduled to take place in Japan this coming autumn.

This year will be a busy period for Phuong Anh as she is both studying for a master's degree and preparing for the Miss International 2022 pageant. The local beauty confidently says that she would meet the targets.

Nguyen Thuy Van, 36, graduates from the University of Foreign Trade in Hanoi in 2008 and wins the second runner-up title at Miss Vietnam 2008. She is 1.71 metres tall and measures 87-61-90.
