VOV.VN - With the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, drawing near, wild peach trees can be seen on sale along National Highway 6, the section of road which passes through Van Ho and Moc Chau districts in the northern mountainous province of Son La.
Forest peach trees are popular among local people during the Lunar New Year.
Each forest tree starts from VND200,000, with the price going up to several millions of Vietnam Dong.
According to a local traders, large trees with good shapes and covered in moss are usually more expensive.
According to a buyer, in recent years he has often gone to Son La province to purchase the famous peach blossom trees.
Traders based in Hanoi and neighbouring provinces do not mind coming to Son La province to buy wild peach trees as they can re-sell them for up to three times the price.
The trees are bundled together before being load on the truck.
Ethnic boys and girls help their parents to sell wild peach trees.
Local people carry forest peach trees on their motorbikes to sale them.
