VOV.VN - The Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a reenactment on February 2 for Tết Nguyên Đán, traditional Lunar New Year, celebrations from the era of the Nguyen dynasty in the Hue royal complex.
Celebrations for Tết Nguyên Đán during the period of the Nguyen dynasty were held on the first day of the first lunar month.
The opening ritual of the reenactment takes place at Thai Hoa Palace.
The mandarins present the king with congratulatory messages to mark the occasion.
The king then departs Thai Hoa Palace and heads to Can Chanh Palace in order to continue the festive ritual.
The Princes bow to the king ahead of the official ritual.
The king then hosts a royal party as a means of entertaining mandarins, in addition to giving them some money.
The reenactment of various Tet customs from the Nguyen royal court aims to help maintain cultural traditions through the generations.
