Nguyen Hue Flower Street is an ideal place for local people to have fun every Tet holiday. Visitors are required to don face masks, wash their hands with sanitizer and have body temperature checked before entry.
Visitors feel at ease that although the street is crowded, everyone wears masks and keeps a safe distance. “I am happy that the municipal administration has created conditions for local residents to celebrate the holiday though the outbreak is yet to be contained completely,” says Lam Bay, a visitors form Go Vap district.
The flower street is most crowded during peak hours from 10.00 to 17.00. Many women in colourful clothes spend time posing for a photo with beautifully decorated flower miniatures.
Nguyen Hue Flower Street is a favourite destination with local people and tourists alike when the Tet atmosphere is in full swing. This is an opportunity for everyone to capture beautiful moments altogether.
Le Tuan Hieu, a resident of Tan Binh district, says he has not visited his friends this Tet to avoid large gatherings as warned by the Ministry of Health. Instead, he has gone out for a walk along Nguyen Hue Flower Street to enjoy the jubilant Tet atmosphere.
After visiting the Flower Street, many people have chosen to make a tour of the Book Street nearby – a favourite place with bookworms.
