VOV.VN - With the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, three weeks away, plenty of shops on Hai Thuong Lan Ong street in Ho Chi Minh City have been covered in red as a diverse range of decorations serve to attract new consumers.
Decorative items celebrating the upcoming Lunar Year of the Dragon are among the most popular items on sale this year.
Walking along the 500-metre long street allows pedestrians to see plenty of peach and apricot flowers made of cloth and plastic being used for decoration.
A range of colourful stickers sending wishes of luck and prosperity ahead of the Lunar New Year can be seen throughout the area.
Envelopes are used to give children lucky money as an indispensable part of each Tet. A package containing 10 envelopes only costs between VND10,000 to VND15,000
This year has seen Vietnamese handcraft products dominate the market for Tet decorations.
