VOV.VN - Tens of thousands of residents and visitors gathered around Hoan Kiem Lake, the My Dinh National Stadium, and other designated launch sites across the capital at midnight on February 17 to watch the multi-coloured spectacle of an elaborate fireworks display welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
At the stroke of midnight ushering in the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the sky over Hanoi is illuminated by cascading fireworks, their brilliance reflecting the hopes of millions for a year of peace, prosperity and new beginnings.
Hanoi’s Lunar New Year fireworks display is staged to foster a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere, allowing residents and visitors to welcome the new year with excitement and optimism.
The capital há set up 11 high-altitude fireworks sites featuring synchronised low-level pyrotechnics, along with 23 additional low-altitude display points throughout the city.
Each high-altitude site is set to deploy approximately 700 aerial shells, along with 60 low-level fireworks racks and 30 pyrotechnic and fountain units.
Each low-altitude site is fitted with 120 fireworks racks, helping maintain a consistent display scale across the city.
