VOV.VN - Tet Viet (Vietnamese Tet) Festival is scheduled to take place from January 18 to January 21 at Le Van Tam Park in Ho Chi Minh City, with the event aiming to honour cultural values and cuisine during the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, the country’s biggest traditional festival.

Visitors to the occasion will have the chance to experience a total of 121 Tet typical dishes from the northern, central, and southern regions.

The highlight of the festival will be an exhibition on Tet feasts, as well as traditional music performances. Tet dishes from across the country will also be served at the event.

This year, there will be stalls set up to introduce folk games and toys such as to he, which are toy figurines that are made of rice dough, and paper paintings.

Le Hoang Phuong, the fourth runner-up of Miss Grand International 2023; Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang, the second runner-up of Miss Intercontinental 2023; and Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, the winner of Miss Intercontinental 2022, will work as ambassadors of the festival.

The festival will be free for domestic and international tourists and is expected to attract over 80,000 arrivals this year.

The first iteration of the festival was held back in 2020 and drew around 50,000 participants. However, it was disrupted in 2022 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, although nearly 70,000 visitors came to the 2023 edition.
